You must always be able to show us a valid identification. The Notarius Publicus accepts passports from Sweden or other countries, a Swedish driving licence or Swedish national ID cards. Notarius Publicus cannot accept ID cards or driving licences issued by other countries or any similar documents.
Before you come to us, identify the documents that you need to have legalised or for which you need an apostille. The best way to do so is to get in touch with the person or the institution you are going to send the documents to.
If you want certification that somebody is empowered to sign for a company, you must bring the company’s registration certificate (registreringsbevis). If you do not have one already, the Notarius Publicus can get one for you but you will be charged for this service.
